Specs & Pelk
Professional skill and touch

For many years now, the singer-guitarist Specs Hildebrand (1950) from Volendam and his “Living Room Band” have composed and celebrated country rock music, mixed with a substantial dose of rhythm and blues. However, deep down at heart Specs still sees himself as the ‘guy-with-the guitar’, a solo artist with the need to appear at small, intimate venues where he can perform his favourite songs acoustically. This creates an intimate, informal atmosphere where Specs can share his music on a personal level. To enhance this informal approach Specs also invites his friends to “jam” with him.

Guitarist Frans Pelk (1970), was a member of several, local rock bands before he recently joined “The Living Room Band”. As it turns out he has been the right man for the job. So Specs has an understandable preference to have Frans beside him on stage. They perform past and present country music and blues, covers and original material from his albums with “The Living Room Band” and the jugband “Ugly Duckling”.

Specs and Pelk are two veteran musicians who still have a great time when singing and performing. They have honed their professional skill and touch for over more than 30 years now and this is fully expressed in the character of their music.
